Steve Hodgson, the Trust’s Medical Director and Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon has decided to stand down from his position as Trust Medical Director in early August 2018. He plans to come back to work in the Trust in early September, on a part time basis in his orthopaedic consultant capacity.
Steve has worked for the Trust for over 25 years and has been responsible for developing the orthopaedic service here as its Clinical Lead for a number of years before becoming Head of the Elective Division. He became the Trust’s Medical Director in 2013 and has spent the last five years taking the Trust forward in many ways; seven day working, mortality reduction, continuous quality improvement and clinical leadership to name but a few areas.
Thank you to Steve for his tremendous leadership and support of the Trust and its staff, and for the enormous contribution he has made to improve the quality of patient care and experience.
The post will shortly be advertised externally as well as internally on NHS Jobs.
