Tinnitus support group meets Wednesday 7th August

Our tinnitus service is run by a team of audiologists who specialise in delivering tinnitus management and advice, working very closely with ear, nose and throat consultants.

Tinnitus is the term used to describe any sound that a person can hear that is not present in their external environment.

The team co-ordinate and support the local Tinnitus Support Group in Bolton which runs on the first Wednesday of every other month.

The next meeting is on Wednesday 7th August, 7-9pm at Café Italia in Bolton.

Next week’s meeting will be themed ‘Sleep problems’, and the team will look at the psychological barriers that can often prevent a good night’s sleep.

People attending are welcome to ask questions and there is often a specialist speaker. The group is free to attend, tea and coffee will be provided and relatives/loved ones are welcome to attend.

The meetings have proved invaluable to people for helping them to access support and guidance regarding their tinnitus.

Please ring the team in Audiology on 01204 390435 for more information.
