The GP out of hours service can be contacted by phoning your own GP surgery and following the instructions on the answering machine. Alternatively, you can phone BARDOC directly on 0161 763 8940.

Waters Meeting Health Centre houses three GP practices and a pharmacy as well as a wide range of community health services. It is the base for the BARDOC GP Out of Hours Service.

Services at Waters Meeting Health Centre

Anticoagulant Service

The anticoagulant service is a nurse led community service which is responsible for the monitoring and management of people who take oral anticoagulant drugs. The aim is to work with patients, carers and other health care professionals to improve the safety of these patients. The service offers specialist advice on all issues related to anticoagulant therapies.

BARDOC Out of Hours

The GP out of hours service, provided by BARDOC, is a community based service which delivers urgent care that you would normally get from your GP but in the out of hours period when your GP surgery is closed. You can contact BARDOC by telephone and a trained clinician will advise on the appropriate action to take.

Continence Service

The bladder and bowel service provides specialist nurse/physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management service to patients who have bladder and/or bowel problems. Some clinics are offered outside traditional working hours and clinics are offered at various locations.  We also offer home visits for people who are housebound and we see patients from within and outside of the Bolton area.

District Nursing

The district nursing service is a 24 hours a day, seven days a week service providing nursing care to patients who are housebound, in the patient’s usual place of residence. The nursing teams are based in local health centres, and work closely with GPs and a wide variety of other services and agencies. The team can coordinate care, which includes discharge planning for patients who have been in hospital and need care from the district nursing team when transferred home.

Emergency Dental Service

The Emergency Dental Service is no longer provided by Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. To access the new service provided by Greater Manchester Dental Alliance Ltd you can freephone 0333 3323800 from 8am – 10pm.

Treatment Room

The treatment room service has at its heart the principle of quality care and timely intervention. The service runs seven days a week, 365 days per year and evening clinics are available.  The experienced nurse-led service has an excellent reputation and customer feedback is consistently high.  We provide clinical assessment for a wide variety of wound care issues, including leg ulceration, ear syringing and injection administration.
