Community

There are over 20 centres across Bolton that provide services in a community setting. Outpatient appointments for a number of services are offered at health centres and clinics across the borough and also at schools and patients’ homes where necessary. Inpatient care is provided by the intermediate care service at residential centres.

For directions to a specific centre or information on car parking and the facilities available, please visit the Locations A to Z.

If you have a query about an appointment with a particular service then please visit their service page for more information by using the Services A to Z.

Communication Needs

If you are coming for an appointment and your first language is not English and you need a translator to help you speak to doctors and nurses, ask a relative or friend to tell your nurse or doctor as soon as possible so that it can be arranged for your appointment. If you require a British sign language interpreter, a lip speaker or note taker we will do our best to make arrangements to provide these for you.

Written information can also be provided in other languages, as well as larger print and Braille.

Raising Complaints and Concerns

If you have any issues, concerns or would like to make a complaint, the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) will be able to help you. The team can be contacted on tel: 01204 390193 or by email on: pals@boltonft.nhs.uk
