Our menus have been designed to allow you to choose safe, appetising and nutritious food. Each patient is given a menu to complete on a daily basis so they can select a meal of their choice.
The hospital’s catering staff try to cover all patients’ different dietary and cultural needs and the hospital has received the highest food hygiene rating of 5.
Patients can always request help with special diets and ask ward staff for a chef to visit them. All wards have their own designated chef who visits on a regular basis.
The Trust also has a protected mealtime service in place where most ward activities cease. This enables ward–based staff to concentrate on food service and to give assistance and support to patients, so it’s worth letting your visitors know the mealtimes on your ward.
