2) How many hospital beds were available at 2pm and 5pm on the 30th May.
3) How many planned operations went ahead on the 31st May
4) How many planned operations were cancelled on the 31st May
5) How are planned operations prioritised? Planned operations – consultants list patients, lists reviewed by the specialty and theatre at the weekly theatre scheduling meeting.
6) How are cancelled operations decided? Cancelled operations – number of factors, if there are bed pressures, theatre sickness etc. etc.  Cancellations are made based on clinical urgency from listing.  I.e. those listed as critical / cancer and those listed as clinically urgent are prioritised for their surgery over patients listed as ‘routine’.
