  1. Are your linen and laundry services outsourced? If so, who by and from which site?
  2. When does your contract with your existing linen service provider end?
  3. Is there an option to extend the current contract?
  4. Is the current linen and laundry service a bulk rental, fully managed or pack to ward service?
  5. What is the weekly volume of linen pieces required by your hospital/s (linen pieces including all items on linen hire and trust owned)?
  6. What is the annual spend on linen services broken down by – rental linen, Trust owned linen, onsite distribution team?
  7. Who is the key contact for the linen contract at your hospital(s) (name, position and email address)?

 

 

Response:

1.  Are your linen and laundry services outsourced? If so, who by and from which site? Elis at Lancaster.
2.  When does your contract with your existing linen service provider end? It is on a rolling basis while the service is under review.
3.  Is there an option to extend the current contract? There was yes.
4.  Is the current linen and laundry service a bulk rental, fully managed or pack to ward service? Not sure how it is described on the contract but we manage the linen requirement ourselves.
5.  What is the weekly volume of linen pieces required by your hospital/s (linen pieces including all items on linen hire and trust owned)? Approximately 45,000 pieces.
6.  What is the annual spend on linen services broken down by – rental linen, Trust owned linen, onsite distribution team? Linen rental £774,278.68 (Inc. VAT)  

Trust owned linen £19,659.62 (Inc. VAT).
