CAMHS Reception

The letters CAMHS stand for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.  We are here to help children, their families and carers. (Adolescent is another word for a teenager).

We help children who are having problems with how they feel, how they think about things and sometimes how they act.  We can help with things that make children worried, upset or angry.

What is mental health?

Mental health is about the way you think and feel and how you manage with life’s ups and downs.  Sometimes our bodies don’t work properly and we become ill.  In the same way we can have problems with how we think and feel which affects our mental health.
