We value good communication and working relationships with our referrers. We encourage meetings to discuss difficult cases and these can be particularly valuable when all the agencies that are involved attend.
We will share correspondence as appropriate with agencies involved and will always communicate with the referring agency.
Staff contribute to local programmes of training within our field, including storm training (skills training in risk managment (suicide prevention)) and self-harm training. We are also involved in training for relevant agencies to increase their understanding of children and young people’s emotional wellbeing, including mental health awareness and self-harm training for the school nursing service.
