Further assessment

Following the SPOA first appointment, further information may still be needed to help make a full assessment.  This may mean speaking to other professionals involved in the care of the child or young person.  This may also involve further appointments in CAMHS with other team members or the child or young person.

When we have all the information we need, we will talk to the family and jointly decide if we can help.  If we decide CAMHS is the best service to help, we will work together to start treatment or therapy. Sometimes the family may have to wait a little while until we find the right route for their child or young person.
