Pregnancy Service

We know pregnancy can be a stressful time, and that stopping smoking is very difficult, but our specially trained advisors are on hand to support you all the way. An advisor can arrange to offer support by telephone at a time to suit you.

Quitting smoking is the one of the most important things you can do to benefit your health and the health of your baby.

The midwifery service offers help and advice to all pregnant women who are found to be smokers, along with a carbon monoxide test and a referral to the Stop Smoking Pregnancy Service. All pregnant smokers are offered advice and support throughout their pregnancy. An initial refusal of a referral to our service does not stop patients from accessing the service later in their pregnancy.

After referral, all women are contacted by the team and offered every opportunity to access the service and speak to an experienced smoking in pregnancy advisor.

Please contact 07827 992883 to speak to one of the team.
