MedEquip4Kids is holding the Lancashire Loop Cycle Challenge on Sunday 29th September 2013. There are two circular routes, each taking you on a beautiful journey through picturesque Lancashire countryside. The 50 mile route hits you with a few hills to start off with but, once you’re past the 30 mile point, it becomes a lot flatter and each year many inexperienced cyclists successfully complete this circuit. The 100 mile challenge is geared towards experienced cyclists as you will climb 5,000ft throughout the course. The routes both start at Cockerham Village Hall, near Lancaster, and you will be cycling through the stunning Ribble Valley, Bowland Fells and Lune Valley. The route is fully marshalled and on road.
50 mile route: Registration is a non-refundable/ transferable £30 per person
100 mile route: Registration is a non-refundable/ transferable £39 per person
For both routes you are asked to raise as much as you can.
WHAT AM I FUNDRAISING FOR?
MedEquip4Kids is a children’s charity which raises money to buy medical equipment and facilities for hospitals and community health teams across the north of England, and has supported Bolton NHS FT in purchasing a number of medical devices. Almost 80,000 children a year have a better chance of recovery from illness or injury thanks to their work. The money you raise will be used towards their current projects (which you can read more about via www.medequip4kids.org.uk and help them to ensure that, when a baby, child or teenager becomes ill, is injured or living with a disability, they get the best possible care.
