Royal Bolton Hospital welcomed a group of six Chinese doctors to the trust on placement this week, as part of an organised Healthcare fellowship.
The trip, funded by the Chinese government, aims to provide the doctors with an insight into British clinical practices and an understanding of the UK healthcare system.
During their six week placement the doctors will be based in anaesthetics, infection control and microbiology, trauma and orthopaedics, gastroenterology, neonates, and obstetrics and gynaecology.
China’s healthcare system is undergoing change to meet the changing needs of its population, and healthcare leaders are looking to Greater Manchester to provide examples of best practice that they can adopt.
Each doctor has a mentor in Royal Bolton Hospital who they will undertake their placement with. They will be with us until the end of October.
