IT developments improve patient care

Our IT team has been working hard to develop solutions to allow staff to work more flexibly between various locations across Bolton. The Trust provides services at the Royal Bolton Hospital and approximately 30 other locations and a large number of departments provide a 24 hour service. Staff often faced difficulties accessing systems and information they required when moving from one location to another.

A new solution has been developed so that users can sign on to the network and required systems from any device at any location. This means that clinical staff always have patient information on hand and has increased efficiency.
