Further junior doctor strikes are planned for Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th April 2016.
This week, we welcomed visitors from the Confederation of Indian Industry.
New state of the art equipment that provides a rapid diagnosis for meningitis is now available at the hospital.
The situation has improved within the hospital. There are currently six bays across four of our wards which are closed to new admissions and one unit at Darley Court also remains closed to new admissions.
A charity ball is taking place on Friday 22nd April 2016 to raise money for our Donate £1 for Dementia appeal.
Members of the public are being asked not to visit hospital or nursing homes if they have had recent symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting.
A number of outpatient clinics and procedures at the Royal Bolton Hospital and some appointments at Bolton One have been postponed in view of the industrial action by junior doctors due to take place nationally on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th March 2016.
Over the coming week, 14 – 20 March 2016 Project Phoenix will be holding a week of action as part of the “It’s Not Okay” campaign.
