The University of Manchester, University of Salford, University of Bolton, Manchester Metropolitan University and the Nursing and Midwifery Council have awarded the Rheumatology and Orthopaedics Department at Bolton One with an accreditation enabling them to receive an intake of student nurses.
To achieve the certificate, the department had to demonstrate that they have the facilities to enhance the learning outcome for nursing students. Everyone in the team has put a lot of effort in, sharing ideas on how they can pass on their knowledge and skills to the students and provide a great learning platform for them.
Ann Young, Sister in Rheumatology, said, “I have taught student nurses before and the feeling you get when you can actually see a student understanding what to do and the theory behind why things are performed in a certain way is most satisfying.”
Congratulations to the team on their accreditation and providing a suitable learning environment for future student nurses.
