‘General Charitable Purposes’ fund

By making a donation to the ‘general charitable purposes’ fund, you are giving us the flexibility to use charitable funds in areas that need it most and in ways that will make the biggest difference to our patients, staff and volunteers.

Specialist Funds

If you would like to make a donation in support of a specific ward or area of the hospital, please get in touch with the Charitable Funds team on 01204 487532 or by email at Charity@boltonft.nhs.uk.

To make a donation by cheque

Please make your cheque payable to ‘Bolton NHS Charitable Fund’. On the back of the cheque (or in a covering letter), please indicate the specialist fund you would like your donation to support. Your cheque should then be sent to: Finance Department, Dowling House, Royal Bolton Hospital, Minerva Road, Farnworth, Bolton, BL4 0JR.

To make a donation by BACS

Please contact Karen Sharples (Finance Manager) on 01204 390184 to request our bank account details and to let us know if you would like your donation to support a specialist fund. When making a payment by BACS, please use your surname as reference.

To make a donation by JustGiving

Please click here to be redirected to our JustGiving page. You can leave a message when you make your donation if you would like your donation to support a specialist fund. Similarly, you can email us at Charity@boltonft.nhs.uk with the JustGiving donation reference number and our Finance team will ensure the donation is allocated accordingly.

As a charity we can reclaim tax on all donations under the Gift Aid scheme provided you are a UK taxpayer. This means that eligible gifts can be increased by 25p for every £1 that is donated. For example, if you donate £100.00 to the charity we can reclaim a further £25.00 from HM Revenue & Customs.

If you are a higher rate taxpayer in the UK, the charity can reclaim the basic rate tax and as a donor you can keep the difference between the higher rate and the basic rate of tax. There is no cost to you.
