The new contactless donation devices making it easier to support Our Bolton NHS Charity

Brand new contactless donation devices have been installed at Royal Bolton Hospital to make it easier for people to support Our Bolton NHS Charity.
Located at the hospital’s Main Entrance and the Community Diagnostic Centre in J Block, the terminals allow people to tap and donate either £3, £5 or £10 using their contactless card or phone via Google Pay or Apple Pay.
People can also donate any amount up to a maximum of £100 by following the instructions on the donation devices.
Funds raised will contribute towards projects that make a lasting and meaningful difference to the tens of thousands of people who use NHS services at Royal Bolton Hospital and in the community every year.
Abdul Goni, Charity Engagement Coordinator at Our Bolton NHS Charity, said:
We’re always touched by the generosity of our supporters and communities in Bolton, particularly those who have been cared for and wish to give something back.
“Donations to Our Bolton NHS Charity have already helped us fund state of the art ophthalmology equipment so patients benefit from early and non-invasive diagnosis of glaucoma, hot cots so babies who are born prematurely and at risk of hypothermia can stay with mum on the post-natal ward, entertaining sensory walls and calming ceiling tiles so neurodiverse patients can relax before or during appointments, and so much more.
“We hope our new contactless donation devices, which are located in two of the hospital’s most-used areas, make it easier and quicker for people to give what they can so we can focus on providing valuable support and improving the NHS experience in our own special way.
