Vaccinations in pregnancy

Some vaccines, such as the seasonal flu vaccine and the whooping cough vaccine, are recommended during pregnancy to protect the health of you and your baby.

  • Influenza (Flu) – anytime during pregnancy during flu season
  • Pertussis (Whooping Cough) – from 16 weeks
  • RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) – from 28 weeks

If you're 28+ weeks pregnant, you can have all three vaccines at the same time.

  • You'll be automatically booked for your RSV and pertussis vaccines

You can have these vaccines in antenatal clinic at Royal Bolton Hospital, Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm.

Please email MaternalVaccinations@boltonft.nhs.uk if you have any queries.
