Adolescent Health (Sexual Health/the Parallel) Pathway
Service summary
The Adolescent Health Service covers a holistic adolescent service model, including a specialist Sexual Health and Substance Use delivery, interdependent of the wider universal offer.
The Service operates across the whole of Bolton Borough delivering a range of interventions, support and signposting to the young residents in Bolton up to the age of 19 years, and 25 years for those young people with additional complexities and vulnerabilities.
Pathways supported and interventions offered.
- Emergency contraception.
- Breakthrough bleeding whilst using/taking hormonal contraception.
- Heavy/painful periods whilst using hormonal contraception.
- STI symptoms.
- Contraceptive assessments.
- Holistic health assessments completed to support high risk, vulnerable cohorts, Early Help, Safeguarding, School Leavers RHA’s (LAC), YOT, CSE, and CCE.
How to refer into this service
Inclusion criteria
13 to 19 year olds who live in Bolton and have a Bolton postcode.
