The Perinatal Pelvic Health Service (PPHS) aims to prevent, identify and treat pelvic floor dysfunction during pregnancy and for up to 12 months following birth.
The service supports recovery after childbirth, improves pelvic health, and reduces the risk of severe perineal trauma.
The Perinatal Pelvic Health Service (PPHS) is a multidisciplinary team made up of physiotherapists, midwives and obstetricians.
We provide care:
During pregnancy
After birth
For up to 12 months postnatally
Our support focuses on:
Improving pelvic health
Reducing the risk of severe perineal trauma
Supporting recovery after vaginal or caesarean birth
You can access this service if you:
Are currently pregnant or
Are up to 12 months postnatal
And if you are booked to have your baby at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust or care by Bolton Community Midwives.
