Dr Hickman studied at the University of Manchester and gained his MBChB in 2008.
He completed his Acute Medicine specialist training in the North West Deanery in 2016 and has a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Education.
He then worked as a Senior Registrar at Sir Charles Gairdner hospital in Australia, before joining Bolton NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant in August 2018
