Have your say on our Treatment Room Services at Winifred Kettle

We would like to hear from patients, carers and local people about treatment room services at Winifred Kettle.

In early June 2026, we made the difficult decision to temporarily pause treatment room clinics at this site due to staffing pressures. This allowed us to safely maintain services across Bolton, ensuring patients could continue to receive care at alternative locations.

Patients have continued to access essential treatments, including wound care, dressings, leg ulcer management and catheter support, at other treatment rooms across the borough. We understand that this has meant some people have had to travel further than usual, and we appreciate your patience during this time.

As staffing pressures begin to ease, we are now reintroducing treatment room clinics at Winifred Kettle on Mondays and Thursdays from Thursday 2 July. We will use this period to review how the service is used and to better understand patient experience.

Why your feedback matters

We want to make sure that any future decisions about treatment room services are informed by the people who use them.

Your feedback will help us understand, how easy it is to access appointments, what matters most to you when choosing where to attend, and how any changes have affected you.

Have your say

We are actively gathering feedback from patients when they book or attend appointments, and we would also welcome your views directly. Please either speak to our staff at your appointment or complete a short survey, here.

What happens next

We will review all feedback alongside service data and activity levels. This will help us make informed recommendations about the future of treatment room services at Winifred Kettle.

Any proposals for permanent changes will involve appropriate public engagement, in line with our responsibilities as an NHS provider.
