Mr James is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the management of disorders of the knee and hip. His clinical practice includes the treatment of sports injuries, ligament injuries, arthritis and patella instability.
He completed his medical education at the University of St Andrews and the University of Manchester, before undertaking specialist orthopaedic training in the North West of England. Following completion of his training and admission as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, he undertook two fellowships to further develop his expertise in knee and hip disorders.
These included a fellowship at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, focusing on joint preservation, and a fellowship at Wrightington Hospital, specialising in joint replacement.
James is currently medical director for our surgical division.
