Changes to public parking charges at Royal Bolton Hospital

Royal Bolton Hospital car parking

New prices for public parking at Royal Bolton Hospital will be introduced from Wednesday 8 April.

Small increases will only take effect on some of the tariffs that are available to help manage increasing costs for maintaining the car parks and roads across the hospital site.

Free car parking will remain for blue badge holders, cancer patients, relatives of end of life patients, parents/carers of children admitted overnight and relatives of critically ill patients who have been admitted long term.

Andrew Chilton, Operational Director of Finance at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, said:

“We have been able to freeze our public pricing for parking at Royal Bolton Hospital for the past two years, however we are experiencing rising costs when it comes to maintaining our car parks.

“The revenue collected from car parking charges is reinvested into our hospital estate to make sure it’s fit for the future, and we will regularly review our charges to ensure that they are appropriate.”

The price of public car parking charges from 8 April will be:

2 hours: £3.50
4 hours: £5.00
8 hours: £7.00
24 hours: £10.00
Monthly: £30.00

Parking at Royal Bolton Hospital uses an automated number plate recognition system provided and managed by ParkingEye.

People who use the visitor car parks should pay the correct charge at one of the kiosks before they leave the site, or they will face a penalty.

For more information about free or concessionary parking, please visit the hospital’s main reception or call 01204 390782.
