- Joanne Downs appointed as new Chief Finance Officer at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust
- Joanne has more than 28 years of strategic and leadership experience
- Joanne will officially start in the role later this year
Bolton NHS Foundation Trust has appointed Joanne Downs as their new Chief Finance Officer.
Joanne is currently Deputy Chief Finance Officer at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and comes to the Trust with more than 28 years of strategic and leadership experience.
Joanne understands the Greater Manchester NHS system well, having spent the last 18 years working in senior commissioning and provider finance roles.
Her early career was developed in the public sector audit and advisory service at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Joanne is also the Chair of Greater Manchester Police Force’s Joint Audit Panel.
Joanne said:
“I am very excited about joining Bolton NHS Foundation Trust! I’ve been impressed with colleagues so far and their pride and passion for serving local communities.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know colleagues across the Trust, visiting and learning more about Bolton’s services, and working together to build on the strong foundations already in place. It’s a brilliant opportunity and I can’t wait to get started.”
Alongside her finance background, Joanne is passionate about delivering high-quality services, developing people and building strong teams, and creating a culture where colleagues can openly do their best work.
