Royal Bolton Hospital’s Endoscopy service recognised for ‘high quality consistent care’

  • Royal Bolton Hospital’s Endoscopy service awarded accreditation by Joint Advisory Group
  • Annual assessment ensures services provide high quality care to patients
  • Bolton NHS Foundation Trust aims to drive forward care though innovation, training and development

The Endoscopy service at Royal Bolton Hospital has been recognised for providing ‘high quality consistent care’ to patients.

The Joint Advisory Group (JAG), which carries out an annual assessment of endoscopy services to ensure high quality care is provided, has awarded accreditation until April 2026.

JAG accreditation provides independent and impartial recognition that a service demonstrates high levels of quality, meaning patients can feel confident in their endoscopy service and be assured of receiving high quality consistent care.

Dr Francis Andrews, Medical Director at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, said:

We’re really pleased that our Endoscopy service has once again been recognised for its high standards of patient care.

“Staff work incredibly hard to make sure our patients are safe, comfortable and have a positive experience during what can be an unsettling time. We’ll continue to drive forward the quality of the care we provide through innovation and making sure our highly skilled staff have access to the training and development opportunities they need.

More information about the accreditation process can be found on the Joint Advisory Group’s website.
