Bolton NHS Foundation Trust has once again been recognised nationally for our outstanding commitment to operational excellence, winning two awards at the annual Proud2bOps Awards.
The Trust was named ‘Proud2bOps Trust Network of the Year’ for the second consecutive year, celebrating the strength and sustainability of the Proud2bOps@Bolton network.
Launched in 2023, Bolton was the first NHS Trust in the UK to create its own Proud2bOps network, giving operational leaders a platform to raise their profile, share best practice, and influence improvements for patients and communities.
In addition, Laboratory Medicine and Mortuary Services received the award for ‘Innovation and Technology – Operational Delivery’, recognising their exceptional performance and significant digital transformation to enhance patient care.

Bethan Pope, an Operational Support Manager in Community Services, was also shortlisted for Aspiring Operational Manager of the Year.
Michelle Cox, Director of Operations, said:
We’re incredibly proud to see our network and teams recognised nationally once again, and to be able to share learning with other trusts. Operational leaders are the backbone of our organisation, working alongside clinical colleagues to deliver the very best care.
“These awards reflect the hard work, innovation, and collaboration that make Bolton a fantastic place to work and receive care.
Proud2bOps is a national network that aims to energise, connect, and develop operational managers and leaders across health and care.
