People in Bolton are being invited to help make a difference to the lives of patients who are spending Christmas Day in hospital by buying a gift through Our Bolton NHS Charity’s Wish Lists.
The initiative is aiming to make sure Royal Bolton Hospital’s most vulnerable patients, who may have no family to visit, wake up to something special on Christmas morning.
By purchasing a small gift through the charities ‘You’re Not Alone’ Amazon Wish List, supporters can help show the strength of Bolton’s heart and how our communities come together.
Sarah Skinner, Charity Manager at Our Bolton NHS Charity, said:
For many, Christmas can intensify feelings of loneliness and isolation, particularly if you’re staying in hospital and away from family and friends.
“A small gesture can make an enormous difference, these gifts remind patients that they are in people’s thoughts at Christmas.
“Thank you for your generosity in helping us to make a difference for those who need our support the most.
Gift suggestions include a variety of books, winter hats, scarfs and gloves, and puzzles.
Simply visit our Amazon Wish List online using this link, select the items you would like to donate, and Amazon will deliver them directly to us – it’s that straightforward.
