Over the festive period Royal Bolton Hospital was thrilled to welcome some very special babies into the world on both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Christmas Day started with baby Gracie Mae who was born at 7.54am, weighing 7lb 6oz. Later in the day staff helped welcome baby Haider, weighing 6lb 6oz, at 6.39pm.
Rebecca Bradley, Deputy Chief Nursing Officer at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, said:
“Welcoming a baby into the world is always a special moment, but there is a magical feeling on Christmas Day. It’s a real privilege for us to be able to support families in Bolton and to be part of memories they’ll treasure forever.
“Congratulations to all of our new parents and families and a huge thank you to all of our staff who are working through this festive period to keep our communities safe and well.”
New Year’s Day saw Bolton’s first babies of 2026, including two beautiful boys. The first baby boy was born at 6.30am weighing 6lb 5oz.

The second baby boy followed just before lunchtime at 11.51am, weighing 4lb 15oz. He’s pictured with his proud mummy and daddy, Mehreen and Raja.
