Returning equipment

Returning equipment

Please return any NHS equipment you’ve been loaned so we can get it to another patient.

From walking sticks and frames to grabbers, bath hoists, shower chairs and commodes; we loan out thousands of items each year.

Have you recently been unwell and needed to use a walking aid or perhaps you have specialist equipment to help you at home? Maybe a loved one has passed away and you are sorting through their belongings. If you no longer need it don’t let it clutter up your house, return it to us so we can loan it to someone else who needs it.

Walking sticks (not wooden or collapsible), elbow crutches and zimmer frames can be dropped off at the hospital at any of the following points:

  • Main entrance – can drive through and park outside for up to 10 minutes and leave at main reception
  • Orthopaedic outpatients/ fracture clinic entrance
  • Therapy department between C/D block

For any other equipment such as commodes, toilet frames, bed levers, bathing equipment and four wheeled walkers. These can be dropped off at:

Please ring 01204 337060 or 337262 for these to be collected.

Please DO NOT throw equipment away – Think recycle, reuse and reduce waste.
