Professional background

Mr Onwudike qualified in Ibadan, Nigeria. His higher surgical training in both general and vascular surgery was centred in London within the North East Thames Deanery. He was a research registrar in vascular surgery at the Hammersmith Hospital and specialist registrar in the vascular units of Whipps Cross Hospital, University College London Hospitals, St Bartholomew and Royal London Hospitals.

Mr Onwudike also benefited from a fellowship in endovascular surgery at Foundation Hospital Marseille, France.
