Our Services

Ear, Nose and Throat

The Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) service diagnoses and treats patients with diseases and disorders of the head and neck.

We treat conditions that affect your balance, hearing, smell and taste, as well as conditions that affect your voice, breathing, and swallowing.

The ENT service provides a number of specialist services:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of ENT cancers
  • One-stop rapid access neck lump clinic
  • Dedicated thyroid clinics
  • Sialendoscopy for salivary gland surgery

Our ENT department helps diagnose and treat all types of diseases of the ear, nose, throat and neck. Most patients are treated without the need for surgery but we will undertake as much day surgery as possible for those that require it.

We carry out a range of procedures such as treating glue ear, through to major head and neck surgery.

The ENT service provides a number of specialist services:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of ENT cancers
  • One-stop rapid access neck lump clinic
  • Dedicated thyroid clinics
  • Sialendoscopy for salivary gland surgery

You may also be seen by one of our specialist nurses for practical help and advice, support and education about your condition.

If you need surgery, we’ll explain the pros and cons of the procedure and what you can expect on the day of your appointment. Depending on the type of surgery you need, you’ll either be treated as a day patient or an inpatient.
