Dr Williams has previously worked at hospitals across the North West and Liverpool Women’s Hospital as a specialist registrar and research fellow.
She came to work at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust in September 2006 and is a Honorary Senior Lecturer at Manchester University.
Her special interests are female urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and colposcopy.
She works on research into obstetric anal sphincter trauma.
Numerous peer reviewed publications on perineal trauma and postpartum anal sphincter injury.
Co author RCOG Green Top Guideline on third and fourth degree perineal trauma.
