Dr Vengudi Sankar is a consultant general paediatrician with special interest in paediatric diabetes. He has held this post in the UK from 1997 (in Bolton from 2006). He completed his basic and higher specialty training initially in Chennai, India followed by further training in various centres in the UK before his NHS consultant posts.
He now works less than full time as consultant, working with the Bolton children and young people’s diabetes team.
Dr Sankar has a special interest in paediatric diabetes.
