Covid-19 vaccination offer

The current Covid-19 vaccination offer of a spring ‘booster’ vaccine, or a first and second vaccine for those eligible, ended on June 30, 2023.

From July 1, vaccines will be targeted to people at increased risk from Covid-19. For the majority this will mean waiting until the Covid-19 vaccine is available again as part of a future campaign.

The exception to this is children aged 6 months to 4 years who are clinically vulnerable. Eligible children will be contacted directly by the NHS to be offered two doses of the vaccine, with an interval of 8 to 12 weeks between the first and second doses.

People who develop a new health condition or start treatment that severely weakens their immune system may also be eligible for a Covid-19 vaccine if a clinician advises them to get vaccinated sooner. Eligible people will be contacted directly by the NHS. If you are worried, please speak to your healthcare provider for more information.

From June 30, the Covid-19 vaccination National Booking System online, and the booking facility via telephone at 119, will be unavailable.
