Covid-19 vaccination offer

The current Covid-19 vaccination offer of a spring ‘booster’ vaccine or a first and second vaccine for those eligible, ends on June 30, 2023.

From July 1, vaccines will be targeted to people at increased risk from Covid-19. For the majority this will mean waiting until the Covid-19 vaccine is available again as part of a future campaign.

The exception to this is children aged 6 months to 4 years who are clinically vulnerable. Eligible children will be contacted directly by the NHS to be offered two doses of the vaccine, with an interval of 8 to 12 weeks between the first and second doses.

People who develop a new health condition or start treatment that severely weakens their immune system may also be eligible for a Covid-19 vaccine if a clinician advises them to get vaccinated sooner. Eligible people will be contacted directly by the NHS.

From June 30, the Covid-19 vaccination National Booking System online, and the booking facility via telephone at 119, will be unavailable.
