TV and radio star, Gemma Atkinson, has praised maternity teams at Royal Bolton Hospital after giving birth to a baby boy.

Posting on Instagram, Gemma wrote:

Little man is here! He arrived safe and sound and he’s utterly wonderful.

“A massive thank you to the maternity unit at the Royal Bolton Hospital.

“You are all angels.

“We honestly couldn’t have asked for better care from you all. Just as you were with Mia, your care and expertise was wonderful. Thank you.

Maternity teams also supported Gemma with the birth of her daughter Mia in 2019, and since then Gemma has continued to support Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.

In October 2022, Gemma joined her Hits Radio co-host, Mike Toolan, to present the For A Better Bolton Awards, celebrating health and care workers who go above and beyond to help others.
