Professional background

Dr Hughes is a consultant in Intensive Care and Respiratory Medicine, joining the trust in January 2019, having completed his training in the North West.

Dr Hughes graduated with a bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery degree from the University of Manchester in 2007. He has undertaken further postgraduate studies in workplace based postgraduate medical education and health care ethics and law. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester in the division of Infection, Immunity & Respiratory Medicine.
