Dr Bharaj has obtained a B.Med Sci. MBChB from Sheffield University and MD from Leicester University.
Dr Bharaj has been a clinical lecturer at the University of Manchester before coming to work at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust in September 1998.
Dr Bharaj is also a member of FRCP and is trained in general medicine, diabetes, endocrinology and metabolism.
Dr Bharaj has special interests in cardiovascular disease, diabetes in black and minority ethnic groups, diabetes in young people, insulin pumps and erectile dysfunction. He has also participated in research into models of care in diabetes mellitus.
