Our Services

Diabetes and Endocrinology

Our diabetes and endocrine services work together to support you if you are living with type 1 or 2 diabetes, or a common endocrine condition such as thyroid disease.

Our service offers a full assessment of people with complex diabetes related conditions, including issues such as medication, diet, education, risk factors and complications.

We also specialise in delivering treatment for various endocrine problems such as thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pituitary diseases and others.

If you have diabetes, you are no more likely to catch coronavirus than anyone else.

However, people with diabetes are more vulnerable to developing a severe illness if they do get coronavirus, but the way it affects you can vary from person to person.

Your GP or healthcare professional can refer you to this service if you’re newly diagnosed or need help to manage your condition.

We can help you manage:

  • type 1 diabetes
  • type 2 diabetes
  • diabetes in pregnancy (gestational diabetes)
  • diabetic complications e.g. kidney problems, foot ulcers and foot disease

We can also help you with:

  • diabetes education
  • advice about your diet and medication
  • access to insulin pumps and other technology
  • additional support before or during pregnancy for diabetic mothers
