Dr Walker joined the Trust as a Consultant Paediatrician in 1997.

Dr Walker qualified in London in 1987. She has worked in a number of different hospitals in the North West and also worked in Auckland, New Zealand for two years and for a short period in Eritrea, Africa.

Dr Walker has also worked as a volunteer in Malawi, Africa, in the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, Blantyre, treating children and teaching doctors. Since autumn 2012, she has been involved as a volunteer in a Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health project supporting paediatric training in East Africa and is linked with Muranga District Hospital in Kenya.
